For those of you that listen to me always going on about DITCHING the scales....here are a few reasons why. Since I resumed my journey on the fitness wagon after having my baby I am 3lbs heavier but a dress size smaller. I dont ever starve myself, I have treats just like anyone else and enjoy a glass of wine just as much as the next person. One thing I do promote is a motto of everything in moderation. Often people believe they are not eating too bad but once they are keeping food diaries, they realise just how much snacking is done. Eat when you are hungry, drink plenty of water, get active - never go on a diet, just eat better foods...make small changes and the figure will look after itself. For those who have a pictorial mind...these few photos will help explain why its better to be fit and healthy than to be focused on the scales - you might be slimmer but you havent the energy to walk round the block?Wouldnt it be nicer to get the figure and the energy levels in a oner??? AND!!!! When you have more muscle...your body burns more calories (even at rest) meaning the treats have less of an impact on your body! Win win!!!
