For those of you (there must be very few) that think it is ok to catch a slot walleye, cut out its cheeks, and throw it back into the lake...stay away from our beautiful lake, or any lake for that matter. You are not a sportsman, and you dont know the meaning of fishing. Today, one of our groups caught a 23.5 walleye, and noticed that it had had its cheeks removed. Now, even though the wounds had started to heal over, and the fish was lively, it does not excuse this disgusting practice. If you know of someone that does this, set them straight or report them. I dont think it is a common practice, but even one fish is too many. Thank you, Wigwam Resort
