For those of you who might be wondering why I created an Artists Page on Facebook and ReverbNation then posted a bunch of songs of other people singing them, let me explain... First of all, every song that is on ReverbNation I either wrote or cowrote. Secondly, every song (with the exception of the songs I wrote for a female to sing) I have played and/or recorded myself. I just feel that the vocals that were recorded by the studio singers are better for pitching purposes. You see, at 37 years old, Im no longer pitching myself as an artist but a writer. I have no desire to be the next Garth Brooks or Tim McGraw. I prefer to remain behind the scenes these days. Im not saying Im a bad singer, but these demo singers (for lack of better term) are the ones that sing and perform for a living. Thats all they do. I have so much respect for those who follow their dreams and try to make it in the music industry because they are the ones who will die with no regrets. Im not sure most of us 8-5 cubicle monkeys could say the same.
