For those who have expressed disappointment in our President for not speaking sooner, or louder, or specifically on the devastating miscarriage of justice in several recent and racially charged cases pertaining to African American men....HE HAS SPOKEN. However, I dont personally expect the President, because he is Black, to address every single case pertaining to the maltreatment of Black people primarily because he is the President of the entire United States, and also because he would never be able to focus on any other issues as the number of mishandled cases is simply never ending. Addressing the miscarriage of justice is Eric Holders job. From a civil rights perspective, raising awareness and requesting a call to action should be the NAACPs Legal Defense Funds job...wherever they are. Bottom line, we have no leaders, no old leaders cultivating new leaders, and therefore we have no voice--were silent except to complain about how one man cant do it all for us. What I encourage all of us to do is to find some way that WE can speak as a people through our electoral vote and by galvanizing OURSELVES in our individual communities to RAISE OUR SONS and DAUGHTERS. So, for the next two years can we just let Obama run the White House? As for the rest of us, its time to RUN OUR OWN HOUSE. #GodBlessObamaMichelleSashaandMalia #CastDownYourBuckets #WherestheTalented10th? #Stopsippingtea
