For those who know me, you know that I have a lot allergies. (tested for 500 in the Navy and broke out from all of them) :-( I had eye surgery for cataracts a while back. I was given 3 different drops that I had to use. After I finished the drops for about a month, my eyes started hurting. The surgeon says it wasnt an infection but my eyes were irritated. Friday morning my eyes were really hurting and sensitive to light, I tried driving to work but turned around, couldnt do it, couldnt really see. Made an emergency appointment with my regular eye doctor (who is also a specialist). Turns out I was allergic to one of the drops (actually an ingredient that is in it). I am allergic to the preservative, so the doctor had to find a preservative free eye drop. It took him over 3 hrs to find one (they are not making the one that I had used in 2009 any longer). My eyes were very red, sensitive to light and had a hard time making them open and stay that way. (I am just able to look at the computer and phone light now). Sheesh, if its not one thing, its another.
