For too long, black conservatives have been ignored and maligned - TopicsExpress

For too long, black conservatives have been ignored and maligned by supposed mainstream forces. No longer. We have been slandered and labeled as either tokens or Uncle Toms, instead of acknowledged as freethinking, free men and women. We believe that a government that serves the people best is one closest to it. The localization of responsibilities, federalism, and a limited government make for a more responsive society which can adapt to the needs of the people. Yet Americans, many of which who happen to be poor blacks, are left waiting in long government lines and disrespected by our public servants. We have watched as our community has been decimated by the promises of central planning and big government. Instead of our schools being controlled by parents, all-too-powerful unions have stood in the way of positive change, depriving our children of opportunity-focused education. Instead of jobs actualized, we are the first to suffer job cuts and hit worst during recessions. Instead of being able to share our rich culture with people of all socioeconomic statuses, most of our community has been relegated to what was sold to us as a liberal dream, urban-project housing. Instead of capitalizing on the environment our community was building for itself during the last mid-century, our community has been devastated by government regulations and experiments leading to alarming portion of the community being arrested, incarcerated, and then institutionalized. Instead of celebrating the beauty of black children, the culture of death has plagued our community leading to a declining birthrate and our dwindling political influence. We are not here to simply change the narrative. We are here to destroy it and forge a new one. Through Black Conservatives Fund, we will support candidates who support us, fiercely defend black conservatives who are attacked for simply holding the supposed, wrong worldview for the color of their skin, will organize and engage voters who have previously been looked over, and will work toward inclusion, recognizing that some solutions for our community still lie with our brothers and sisters who have not yet heard our case. We believe that honoring diversity of thought is an American principle. Conservative Americans who are black are here, and we are organizing to take back our communities. I am glad to affirm and support the BCF Creed.
