For twenty two years after Chelsea Faith Smith had meningitis, she has struggled with eating. Strong smells and textures have always been an issue. Weve taken her to countless doctors, a psychologist and even tried hypnotherapy. The doctors said Dont worry shell grow out of it . Shes okay shes within healthy percentile for her age weight and height psychologist said, Dont worry she is a happy child. Well, now at almost 23, she is malnourished and vitamin deficient. Went to a new doctor today that actually put a name to it...Post Meningitis Texture Syndrome. He is committed to helping her get healthy. Thank you God! Please pray that treatments help sooner than later. He is checking her again in 3 weeks.
