For years, the Tarrant County’s Office of Attorney Appointments (OAA) has kept statistics on which courts are using rotation wheels to appoint counsel for indigent defendants and which courts forgo the rotation to appoint specific attorneys from the bench. Judges see those statistics, the public does not. I believe these statistics should be public. If I am elected to County Criminal Court Number One, these statistics will be posted in hopes that all courts will eventually follow suit.
