DIBP website will be updated shortly to reflect the new process time. eVisa system There are still sometimes difficulties in attaching documents. The MIA raised the question on whether paper documents could still be posted where the application was e-lodged. Answer: not encouraged but they will still accept. Client service There is a visa evidencing express queue at Ground Floor of the Melbourne DIBP office. There is a Dropbox for student visa and other visas Return Resident Visa applications based on substantial ties: agents are encouraged to lodge online as soon as possible Applications for reinstatement of BVA can be posted to Melbourne DIBP office instead of processing centres Agents are reminded to lodge complete applications and front load. Labour Market Testing If it is exempted occupation, answer no to the question of have you tested labour market? If it is not an exempted occupation, you must answer yes and attach some form of evidence. Declaration is sufficient. No copy of advertisement is required. Otherwise, straight refusal, as it is time of lodgement criteria. Advertise in the last 12 months before lodging application. It can be one day before lodgement. The approach of the government is to facilitate not frustrate.
