Ford Sustainability - Water Use Goals Extend to Suppliers Ford recently released its 15th annual Sustainability Report highlighting the company’s commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing. Last year Ford reduced per vehicle water use by 30% globally from a 2009 baseline – reaching its goal two years ahead of schedule. Plans are underway to cut water use by another 2% this year along with setting new long-term goals. Later this year, Ford will be asking its high water-use suppliers and those in water-stressed regions to voluntarily report water consumption. Ford will then work with suppliers to achieve additional reductions with a goal of helping Ford significantly reduce its environmental footprint.
