Weather Situation A weak although persistent low lies over northern Tasmania, while a high south of Western Australia extends a ridge towards the state. The high will move south of the Bight on Sunday as a trough develops over New South Wales. The high should then move south of Tasmania Monday afternoon as the trough to the north deepens. A low is expected to develop on the trough, then track southwards over the coast before moving into Bass Strait during Tuesday, as the high moves to just south of New Zealand.
