Weather Situation A slow moving high over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the south of Tasmania, while a low pressure system lies over the Bight. The ridge is expected to weaken overnight, while the low approaches from the west, passing to the southwest of the state tomorrow evening. A trough will then cross the state on Monday as the low move away well to the south of Tasmania. The high will remain over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday, with another low expected to develop over the Bight during the evening, then deepen and slowly approach Tasmania from the west on Wednesday.
