Forest dwelling Tribals in Gujrat received their share of land using GPS Technology recently. They simply walk around the boundary of their agricultural field with a Hand held GPS Device and press record button on pre- defined intervals, thus their land get identified and after approval of the authorities they got the title of their land. It reduces not only unnecessary paperworks, disputes and harassment to the Tribal Forest Dwellers, it helps to the government to implement the Forest dwellers act, 2006,properly. We may replicate the mechanism in the entire country to impart justice to the Forest Dwellers age old demand for the right over their agricultural land. Technology Zindabad !!!
