Formal Indo-Naga peace talks resumes in New Delhi Dimapur, July 17 (NNN): After more than two years, the formal talks between the National Socialist Council of Nagalim-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) and the Government of India have resumed on July 16 in New Delhi. “Mr. Ajit Lal representing the Government of India made it clear that even if there are difficulties involved, he is hopeful to bridge the gap and pursue the matter for an early solution. Mr. Th. Muivah representing the NSCN mentioned that the basis has already been laid and both should go forward,” a press communiqué from the NSCN-IM said today. Both sides are positive and agreed to embark on the peace process with renewed and earnest commitment.
