Former Fiji U20, Suva and Lautoka defender Krishna Sami is all set to join Nadi in this window. The 25-year-old Ba native who had a stint in New Zealand recently is training with the Jetsetters for the upcoming OFC Champions League while officials are working to clear him before the regional competition. Nadi boss Navneeda Goundar told FijiLive they have applied for his release from Lautoka FA and are hopeful of clearing him soon. Krishna Sami wanted to represent us last season but could not obtain his release from Lautoka. He is training with us for the Champions League and we have again applied for his release. We are hopeful of getting him cleared this time around. He is a hardworking defender and should fit in the team well. He is working on his fitness at the moment as he has been out of action for some time. Meanwhile, Nadi will play all its matches at Churchill Park in Lautoka after Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) declared Prince Charles Park unsuitable for international matches. Nadi is grouped with defending champions Auckland City, AS Dragon of Tahiti and Amicale FC of Vanuatu. The Kamal Swamy coached side will play City in its opening match on Tuesday April 8 at 4pm before facing Amicale on April 11 and AS Dragon on April 14.
