Former Finance Minister, Dr. Anthony Akoto-Osei says government must consider suspending portions of the single spine pay policy (SSPP) as its full implementation cannot be sustained. The policy takes about 70 percent of public spending; a situation, experts say could crush the economy if not checked. well for me i think that this is a well thought idea from the Former Minister of Finance, who was of the view that portion of the sspp should be suspended. and one of the reasons is that most of the workers in our various institutions who just sit ideal without absolute no work done , but they take salaries at the end of the month.
