Former Kenyan First Lady, LUCY KIBAKI was a very combative woman while her husband, President Mwai Kibaki, was in power. She would blast journalists, police men and even ambassadors whom she felt were not respecting her enough. At another time, wearing a tracksuit, she stormed the house of a neighbour at midnight to tell him to stop his music at a private party. The next day, she stormed the police station in shorts and demanded that the man, a World Bank official be arrested with his guests. After that, she stormed the offices of the journalists who wrote about the event and gave a stinging slap to the cameraman filming her, she did not leave their office till the next day. She once told political rivals her husband will stand for reelection when the issue was still very sensitive, she followed her husband everywhere, local and abroad. She was fiercely defensive of her hubby, very outspoken on her family and national issues and at a point, the President had to come out to address rumours of his relationship with another lady called Mary Wambui, the president insisted that he had only one wife, and that was none other than Mama Lucy.
