Former Navy SEAL Benjamin Smith US to close over 14 embassies in North Africa and Middle East region. In a press conference the spokesman for the DOS said there were unspecified threats in the region and they are closing AMERICAN Embassies on Sunday. This causes some concern as to what is the stance of America overseas. Are we that weak that if someone threatens us we will shut down our official representation overseas? If there was an imminent threat, wouldn’t you want your people together so they can at least be together fighting for their lives and for our interests? They are there for a reason, American interests. Why can’t we reinforce them and keep our reputation as the “strongest” country, or are we not anymore? Its about time to reassess our standing in the world. Closing Embassies down is ludicrous in projection of force but the unnoticed idiocy of having a public statement about how they are closing the embassies on a specific day is exponential. Operational Logic says IF THEY ARE CLOSING THE EMBASSIES FOR A DAY OR SO, COME BACK WHEN THEY ARE OPEN OR TAKE IT OUT WHEN NO-ONE IS THERE….. ITS EASIER. Look to the factors of what brought about Benghazi…. Same thing? Are we at the point where we are going to start pulling our embassies out of countries because there are elements that don’t like us? Are we that weak OR IS OUR GOVERNMENT RETREATING against our will. We are showing weakness. They will capitalize on this and make us pay dearly for it. There will be more Americans killed because WE (our government) are enabling and emboldening our enemy, dare I say conspiring with?
