The doc gave us more info about data... 1-2% of people are born with 4 arteries instead of 3 to supply blood from the heart to the arms and brain..I am sure there is a more official and technical way to state that, but that is what doc said to get me to understand. Knox is in the 1-2% of those people. Not only is it rare to have been born with those specific 4 arteries instead of 3, but one of his arteries clotted and disappeared that supplied blood to his left arm after medical interventions from his first surgery, which is what made his second surgery seem to be an emergency sending us to a heart transplant facility just in case the normal surgery didnt work...and they were pretty sure it wouldnt work which is why Doernbecher felt safer sending us to a transplant facility for the 2nd stage. ...what the docs didnt know was that Knox had been born with the fourth artery all along that started supplying his left arm with blood when the other artery failed after being dealt with after his first surgery. This continues to accommodate his blood flow keeping his arms growing at the same rate and ultimately keeping him alive by accommodating the second stage surgery he needed since God allowed him to be born without his left ventricle...which is why docs have been baffled all along as to why he didnt need the heart transplant but instead was able to have the second stage surgery as planned and have it be so successful to this point. So, miraculously and intentionally, God allowed him to be born without one of his heart ventricles but gave him an extra artery that would save his life beyond the flaws of human science, inconsistencies of stated laws of nature, and disproven theories of evolution...the extra artery didnt evolve when he needed it because he was made with the artery ahead of the failed one from what the docs say. The extra artery routed itself when humans intervened and busted the other one accidentally but in their best effort to help, and he didnt die according to the natural progression of natural laws defined by some as exact theories. The extra artery carries blood into his brain and back down into his left arm. They gave me pictures and everything. I believe, God did it to get attention for it...simply because He can and is God. It seems like undeniable proof of a Creator that writes our story ahead of us. Awesomeness. Just more proven truth that God is alive. I do not celebrate the pain of my child but can take comfort in seeing a bigger picture perspective that, I believe, proves God determines our lives.
