Fossil fuels are way too precious to burn anyway. And the free fall of oil will be short lived. But is interesting how the peak oil fear mongering clashes with the threat of climate change. Solar stocks are in free-fall too because investors think that now that the price of oil is crashing solar is dead. No one is counting on the global consciousness to realize that not burning fossil fuels and leaving them in the ground is the right thing to do no matter what the price. President Obama is intelligent enough to get that. And the political system of the US only allows him to apply his intelligence n the last two year and by then of course he is mostly powerless. Just like ours in Canada the political system of the US is broken. We would not dream of practicing medicine like we did in the 1600s. Nor would we be happy with the transportation system of the day or the food system, or information technology. And yet we continue to govern ourselves by the archaic way we did when the fastest form of communicating was the pony express. Give me a break.
