Found an immigration document of my Great Grandfather on my dads - TopicsExpress

Found an immigration document of my Great Grandfather on my dads side. He came to the U.S. in 1911 from Holland and was a salesman of crafts. He did not become a naturalized citizen by 1930, when the information was documented. He had a radio in the household and owned his house worth an estimated $2500. Only 12 of the 50 people on the document had a radio, and about the same percent were identified as owners. So, I guess he was doin aight. He was 29 in 1930 and married since 23. Interesting stuff. He lived in Kinderhook, New York and died in Maryland the year after I was born. Oh, and it looks like the name Henry was shortened from the Dutch name Hendrikus, which honestly, is a cooler name. He was one of 8 kids and arrived in New York with his parents, John and Gertrude and 7 siblings when he was 18. Gertrudes Mom was from Belgium. Pretty cool. =) Mike Stockman
