Founder of Omega Ministries, Auchi, Edo State, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, has called for the arrest of Senator Ahmed Yerima over his encouragement of girl-child marriage in the country. Irked by recent comments credited to the former Zamfara State governor, Suleiman said: “The issue is that Senator Yerima should be arrested. When he got married to an under-aged girl in Egypt, he was accompanied there by some shameless senators. But in case they have forgotten, Islam says when you marry a girl under 18 years you do not touch her until she is 18 years. “It is when she is 18 years that you will have access to her body. Is he saying he has not touched that little girl now? They are just being ritualistic, satanic and barbaric. Some of these senators are just occultists. Apostle Suleiman “Even if Yerima can give his daughter out at age 13, does that justify it? I will not be surprised if a man like Yerima gives his daughter out at 10 years. He definitely has no respect for womanhood,” the cleric stated while speaking with newsmen recently.” Suleiman also took a swipe at other senators who supported Yerima during the girl-child marriage controversy, describing them as paedophiles. “What they did is simply a reflection of their private lifestyles as paedophiles. ..Nigerians are bleeding. It is sad. The other time I heard of a senator from Oyo State who said he mistakenly voted yes instead of no for the girl-child marriage. “At that level he does not know the difference between his right hand and left hand. He should be flogged and jailed because who knows how many other bills he had voted for instead of against and vice versa,” the cleric said
