Sooooo... about last night! We got started with Gabe asking the DJ to kick a beat... umm the DJ... as cute as she is...was just lost as heck! But she finally found a song for him to get it poppin! (Between you & me... I dont think shes a real DJ) Austin was in the house... Every time Sunni, Kelene & Ilbersalle come through we are blessed! I mean they are short people... like elves or something... I think... so they are kinda suppose to bring joy like that! Love ya Neo! So Devan... on the mic at the spot for the first time ever... he was awesome! He was so nervous, but you are amongst family... clearly a hater may sneak in the door every once in awhile but your family has your back! Welcome Devan! Ms.Sunni goes in with new piece and makes us all wanna go tear up some furniture... the piece is fire! Kelene gives us a beautiful piece... got us thinking about who we are & what we are! Christopher did a tribute to his beard... his beard calls him face... I dont make this stuff up! Ilbersalle gave us a current events piece and stirred our souls! Then.... yes.... Mr. SPLASH! We love this guy... not new to the spot, but new getting on the mic! So 1st he does his grand entrance piece and its really good! Hes hilarious! Then he comes back up with a piece called silence... where hes looking around like a bad kid! Umm... Where they do that at??? At the Poetic Sweet Spot... where the crazy never stops! Lyric... she gets on the mic and gives us so much passion! Tells us what the art of poetry is really about! She also took us to Louisiana & we enjoyed the trip! Tova did a women piece. Gabe did a big booty piece & a vet piece... he got 2 people inside of him they are both nuts! Forressa brought her shy self to the mic & did a piece. Taylor was in the building on crutches and all... we missed her! She did a current events piece and it was power...talking about she just memorized it! It was like 8 pages long...lol! Esoterica gave us a piece about Royalty and Robin came up to sing us a song about friendship! Then.... the moment we had all been waiting for... the awesome, amazing talent of Mr. PAGES! He gave us a lot of background and it was personal and heart felt. He shared some pieces with us, gave us some goosebumps! He was awesome and we hope to see him again! All and all we had a beautiful night as always! Were a small spot with a big heart and the love over powers anything else! See ya next Saturday!
