Four Chibok Girls Reportedly Escape Boko Haram Den in Cameroon - Stephen Davis The most recent update on the Chibok girls is that four of them have reportedly escaped the Boko Hara sect in Cameroon. This is happening six months after over 200 girls were abducted from a school dormitory in Chibok, Borno State. The controversial British-Australian Negotiator, speaking with Times of London, said that the girls, between the ages of 16 and 18 escaped the insurgents stronghold with the help of a teenage boy prisoner who had also been kidnapped by the terrorists. They are the only ones that have escaped from a Boko Haram camp, he said. The girls had had to walk for about three weeks before they arrived a village, looking disheveled and traumatized. If this news is confirmed to be true, news of the girls release would be a ray of hope in the dark narrative that has been the Chibok story in recent weeks. At the time of making this report, the Nigerian military was yet to make an official statement on this development.
