Four Year Strong caught my attention at Warped Tour a while back. I caught the last few songs of their set by chance, and I wrote down their name on my hand so I would know to look them up when I got home (Side note: I think Warped Tour is great not for the fact that it showcases great bands in a massive setting, but because theres usually plenty of artists that you havent heard, and odds are youll come away a fan of at least a few). I bought their first album Rise or Die Trying, and I loved every single song. I would be at work making pizzas with the album on repeat. I thought to myself can they top this?, and in my opinion, they did with their second album Enemy of The World. Their Pop Punk lyrics and major key melodies laced with some sick metal infused guitar riffs and driving percussion make for my absolute favorite sound. Wasting Time, This Body Pays The Bill$, and Nineteen with Neck Tats all have the feel of the first album with straightforward upbeat lyrics and awesome instrumentation. Then there are songs like Find My Way Back and One Step At a Time that delve into deeper lyrical territory that just comes together in the most incredible way with their driving tones. Of all the songs on the album (all of their albums, honestly), the first is my absolute favorite, and as soon as I heard it, I was hooked. If you havent checked this band out, I IMPLORE you to do so.
