Four of us wire brushed down the wall in the square at Brownes lane this morning. after that we discussed the painting and i asked Roisin if she could possibly incorporate the city wall into the painting to give depth and maybe give a view of how it may have looked when ireland was wilder. We walked down to de la salle to see the tower in the garden there and she feels it will work really well to paint the wall down to the tower into (see Roisins pic below). Next week we need to prime the wall to get it ready for the artwork. Roisin will coordinate the painting and intends to paint a woodland scene with strongbow and aoife and irish wildlife into it (butterflies, red squirrells, deer foxes etc). its going to be awesome. David Keohan, would we be able to get white outdoor masonry paint from crown from you for an undercoat tomorrow and we can start tomorrow evening. paul is going to spray for mould this evening. the wall is quite high and theres barbed wire hanging off the top so we might need a ladder and pliars to get rid of the stuff hanging off it before painting starts. we will need some masonry rollers and old bed sheets so we dont drip paint on slabs.
