Four years ago today, Megan Weiner, Brenda and I went down to New Orleans and then Daphne, Alabama to pick up the United States Sports Academys Ronald Reagan Award given to me by the trustees. It is really a great award in that they give it to you without having to enter it like virtually every other award. Thomas Rosandich, T.j. Rosandich, Robert S. Block, the late Jack Kelly and so many others thanks, it was the best journalism award I ever got and I have a bunch. The second biggest thing in my journalism career and I know the trustees wont mind me saying this, the top was speaking as part of a United States Department of State program under Secretary Rice at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum in August 2007 and being trusted with three Turks, three Russians, three Indonesians, three Nigerians, three Venezuelans (sense a pattern here?), a Canadian and four Americans on how government and sports works in the US. In a way the Bush speech and the Reagan award are connected. Again thanks TPR, TJ, Bob and the rest. And H. Justin Cosell and Colin Cosell, your grandfather won the first award and you know if he was around in 2010 he would have told me this. Just remember my fine young friend, I was the first, you are merely the last. I even said that in the acceptance. https://youtube/watch?v=CZqZ4lH8_Jk&list=UUaucMg2WduRTmuBn4m7oGeg
