Fourth of July Cake 1 package moist supreme classic white cake mix Approx.. 1/3 of a 6 oz. pkg berry blue jello 4 egg whites 1 cup blueberry/pomegranate Gatorade ½ cup vegetable oil Mix above ingredients in mixing bowl and whisk until well blended. Pour a little of the batter into a couple of the stars in the star tray. Pour remainder into star mold. Bake at 325 degrees for approx. 20 minutes for small stars, 45 minutes for large star. Test center with a toothpick until cooked in center. Cool cake on cooling rack & flip onto serving dish. Place largest 3-7/8 inch dough cutter in center of cake. Frost all but center with Betty Crocker fluffy white frosting. Place fresh raspberries around edge of center, and prepare a thick blueberry sauce (see below). Cool and spoon into center up to the raspberries. Place a ring of blueberries on the blueberry sauce. Place a raspberry on each tip of the star cake. Paint a couple of the stars in the star tray with white chocolate and chill until set. Place one white chocolate star shell on each side of one of the small cake stars. You may have to trim the cake star if it was too full. Place two toothpicks at base of the star and insert into the center of the cake. Blueberry sauce - All measurements for this are approximate, so taste test. Approx. ½ cup blueberries with water to cover 1 teasp. lemon juice ½ cup sugar Bring to boil and thicken with 1/3 cup corn starch and water. Cool before putting on cake.
