France Manager Gives Veiled Warning To Cabaye! Didier Deschamps, the France manager will be naming his squad on Thursday for the World Cup qualifying games coming up against Georgia and Belarus, and for the second time running Yohan Cabaye will not be in the squad. Yohan Cabaye has refused to play for Newcastle in the last two games, and we think that’s more likely to be the case, than Newcastle not playing him in case he gets injured. And Alan Pardew has hinted that Yohan didn’t want to play – and that has gone over like a lead balloon among Newcastle fans, which is not surprising. Of course with it being the World Cup in Brazil next summer, our French players will be anxious to get into the French squad, but from what Didier Deschamps said today – Cabaye will not make it for the upcoming qualifying game: “If you do not play for three weeks, how can you be in shape to plan an international? It is impossible.” “I do not ask them anything, they are free to pursue their careers, but they know very well and it is the same for everyone, you need a minimum of playing time.” “You have to have minutes on the pitch, start games, to be able to hope to play for France.” Moussa Sissoko had a good game for Newcastle against West Ham, and while Mathieu Debuchy had a better game than he did at the Emirates, he still looked a bit shaky dealing with the speed of West Ham’s Matthew Jarvis. Ben Arfa looks in decent form and he is running at the opposing defenses – something he does very well. although he wasn’t able to create many chances on Saturday. But Yohan Cabaye will need to get things sorted out soon, but we have a sneaking suspicion he may be staying on Tyneside, because the fee being asked by owner Mike Ashley is just too high. We hope it’s too high, and then maybe Alan Pardew will need to get the Frenchman to apologize to Newcastle fans for refusing to play. It didn’t help Yohan’s case that in the turmoil surrounding his possible transfer to Chelsea, Wayne Rooney played really well last night for Manchester United – that’s what professionalism is all about – and Wayne did himself a lot of good with that performance.
