Frank is a 2 year old mastiff mix who does not like his food or rawhide touched when he is eating them. Due to this fact he has been given a New Hope rating. Otherwise he is said to be very friendly and social. Please advocate for Frank tonight so we might find a foster or adopter and a New Hope Partner to rescue him from the euth list. Help before it is to late... A volunteer writes: I met Frank the day after his arrival. He was peacefully laying on his blanket. I was in awe ! A masterpiece of a dog, as black as night and with golden eyes that lit his den like two lanterns. He came right away to his door to salute me and my dog, tail gently wagging. I pasted my hand against the bars and he licked it. I knew he was a strong dog, too strong and too big for me and I waited for the opportunity to see a staff in action with him. Frank is a goofy dog, a kid at heart. His paws are huge. He looks like a choir boy sitting quietly at the feet of his caretaker but runs like an awkward gazella through the yard and after a tennis ball. He likes to jump on people, seeking attention , and does not know his strength. He sits and stays on command and even lays down. He is so cute to watch when he really wants to get up from his laying down position and is not allowed to...His eyes look so guilty . He really wants to please but needs guidance. Frank is very treats motivated which will make his training easy. He is curious of other dogs and even seems to like them. He does not react to other pooches barking at him. He likes human presence and loves to be scratched behind the ears. Frank is A DOG ! One of a kind, a beauty that will make the pride and the joy of an owner but not any owner. One who will teach boisterous Frank all about being a well behaved pet and become the most dogsome canine ever. Frank is at the Manhattan Care Center , waiting for his new teacher and master.
