Franklin update: A week ago I brought Franklin home from the IN shelter. As you may recall he was saturated in urine and feces, scrotum infected, and an upper respiratory illness that has kept him under quarantine. Two days ago I wasnt certain little Franklin would be with me much longer. I rushed him to the vet yesterday with labored breathing and a week of no engagement and very little food intake. After chest X-rays were taken we believe he has pneumonia. This might sound strange but Halleluliah! It is the best of all possible scenarios and the only one treatable at his age. Well, today I received tail wags and recognition for the first time and look at him cruise down my driveway! After only two doses of his medicine! (Ignore that its torn up....my yard and driveway are under renovations). Im cautiously optimistic that Franklin is going to be ok!! Give him a big arrooooo for making the twenty yard walk with me to get the trash can!
