Frankly, I dont get it... its hard to believe that President Obamas base has weakened or that a significant percentage of Americans are opposed to his domestic policies and seriously believe life would have been better under Romney. However, I know this for certain: history will record Obama as being one of the best presidents and further give him points for the fact that he has been consistently and continually cobbled -- for two terms -- with the most pathologically dysfunctional Congresses in U.S. history. There has never been a president since Lincoln who has had to face such open contempt, spite and even outright hatred. The conduct of the GOP, Tea Party, and many individuals and groups, aided and abetted by an irresponsible, reckless right wing media, will go down in our history as a period of of shame. Happy 4th of July, America. You can do better and damn well should...
