Franks Fabulous Friday Fitness Tip Start the year right Sometimes you just need some food guidance to keep your weight loss resolutions reasonable and on the right path. Here are a couple which are practical. Eating more fruits and veggies WebMD suggests this. Eat at least one more vegetable or fruit at every meal. Load extra veggies into your sandwiches, salads soups and omelets. You could also have cut up veggies Pre made as snacks instead of your usual fare. Snacking less at work A common work place situation. We snack as we sit at our desk. Often time its out of habit, boredom or lack of awareness. Here are several easy fixes for this. Most obvious: do not bring food to your desk. If you cannot buy into this, eat snacks that are healthy, such as pieces of apple, carrots, yogurt and space the timing of them. Another idea is keep the food at least 6 feet away from your work station. This makes your think about your food intake a bit and perhaps not eat that donut you brought in that morning. Food diaries or journals For some reason most people dislike doing this. Might be it reminds them negatively of what they have been indulging in but its a great tool to keep the calories off. You can use an app on your phone, write it in a book or an IPAD. The idea is of course keeping track of your food intake and give you a better understanding of what you need to do in the battle of the bulge. Be smart, be consistent and the weight will come off.
