Free education of the day. If you think being a modern liberal is the same as our founding fathers classic liberalism you do not know the definitions of either. Modern liberalism believes in a socialist society with big government and heavy regulation on industry. They believe in only their accepted rights and want the rights of others that do not agree with their agenda to have their rights stripped from them. Classic liberals, which do not exist in modern times as classic liberals, were conservative and believed in individual rights for all citizens. They believed in small and regulated government. Classic liberals are better known as conservative libertarians in todays standards and political platforms. Learn the difference. It will keep you from looking like an idiot when you claim you are liberal and have the same beliefs as our founding fathers. -Damon
