Freedom of speech is important and should be a pillar in any society, but where is the line drawn? Is a free society honorable when it that allows a minority to be insulted and marginalized by pushing the envelope on such freedoms? Its heartbreaking to see loss of life and security from both sides of this invented conflict. If the Muslim World finds insult when Prophet Mohammad is depicted in offensive cartoons (as the world learned in light of the cartoons of him published by Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten, which instigated international protest, violence and boycott as backlash in 2005), why do it? Why incite/perpetuate a conflict? Cant we publish shit to bridge gaps and promote peace between peoples and cultures instead? Why do we always have to work it out where it sucks?
