Freedom of the Press is non-negotiable. Were hearing this over - TopicsExpress

Freedom of the Press is non-negotiable. Were hearing this over and over again as events unfold in the aftermath of the Paris attack. Of course its non-negotiable, but its non-negotiable with whom? Who is on the other side of the negotiation table? Is anyone wondering about this? Is it the government of the state or nation in question? Sorry, thats too ancient and inapplicable a view. It was born in the stone-age in comparison with todays internet age. In the stone age, the sort of journal irresponsable that Charlie Hebdo represents didnt travel in vacuum and reach the other end of the globe which is sitting at the other end of the negotiation table whether you like it or not. In fact, you like it, because you want to sell stuff to it and provoke it. Are these journals so stupid as to believe that their petty security apparatuses are so watertight as to not place a chair at the other end of the table for anybody and everybody in todays age? Everything Im seeing tells me yes, the are that stupid. Therefore, Im sorry, but Im not Charlie Hebdo. Je ne suis pas Charlie Hebdo. Because Charlie Hebdo was stupid enough not to understand the world in which its running its journal irresponsable.
