Freedom requires organized action, not screaming in the wilderness. When the voices are scattered and individual, they are not only ineffective, but even help to clench the status quo. The powers that be know how to employ these scattered voices to serve their own ends. Closing the ranks, working on a civilian plane, elimination or temporary burying of differences is the best route towards freedom. But more screaming of the sort that we witness these days is useless. Jamaa serving work is self-defeating too. The problem is that this awareness seems too much ahead of the current time or, to be more precise, the current modes of action. We certainly hate the Jamaa for acting stupid and for serving stupid ends. Those who grow up to be stupid are not likely to gain the necessary intelligence at the crucial moment it is needed.
