Fresc Co Janpath Review by SoDelhi:- Great Mediterranean Vibe Situated in the heart of Janpath near Connaught place, the European chain restaurant, with its fourth branch, seems to be doing rather well as even on a hot Monday afternoon the place was packed. We observed a clientele ranging from foreigners, to locals as well as top level executives, who in all likelihood have their offices in the neighbouring office hub. Splashed in serene hues of white and aqua with white walls and blue windows, the restaurant has a contemporary Greek vibe to it with seating options on the first floor. Here you can really have a feast as for a mere 550 rupees (plus taxes) you can gorge away from a selection of soups, salads, a range of mains, pizza & pastas and desserts. I settled in for the buffet, while my friend was inclined towards the a la carte section. I commenced with the not so hot soup, along with a variety of cold salads which included Basa Fish Salad, Chicken Sausages in Cocktail Sauce along with varied Veggie Salads and an array of dressings while my friend settled in for the Shish Taouk - succulent pieces of chicken on metal skewers served along with baked pita and was quite pleased with the same. Heading for mains, the buffet included varied dishes such as Pilaf, Exotic Vegetables and Ratatouille. Out of everything, I really liked the Ratatouille which was a dish consisting of courgettes, eggplant & bell peppers served on a bed of creamy rice. When I enquired as to why the “creamy” rice, I was told it was to make sure it doesn’t get dry. A good suggestion however it would have been nice otherwise too. The lamb Chops ordered on the ala carte were cooked to perfection and served on a bed of potato lyonnaise with a tomato based sauce rather than a regular jus. They had a variety of desserts on the buffet but we settled in for the “Flourless Chocolate Cake”. A steamed cake made without flour and served with a unique sea salt caramel along with natural vanilla pod ice cream. The best part about their desserts is that the ice-creams are made in-house! Kudos to Fresc Co. It is a must visit for its great ambience and would especially be enjoyed by tourists and office goers in the vicinity. - See more at: sodelhi/casual-dining/1732-fresc-co-restaurant-janpath-new-delhi#sthash.96yNIStl.dpuf
