Friday 08/29/2014 (MLB) 2014 going into their games today the division leaders are - Baltimore Orioles are 1st in AL East with a 7 game lead over 2nd place NY Yankees Kansas City Royals looking to reach the playoffs for the 1st time since 1985 are 1st in AL Central with a 1.5 game lead over 2nd place Detroit Tigers . Los Angeles Angels are the 1st team this season to reach 80 wins are 1st in AL West with a 2 game lead over 2nd place Oakland Athletics who at the moment have the #1 Wildcard in the AL Washington Nationals are 1st in NL East with a 6 game lead over 2nd place Atlanta Braves. Milwaukee Brewers lead the NL Central with a 1.5 game lead over 2nd place St Louis Cardinals who at the moment are the #2 NL Wildcard . Los Angeles Dodgers lead the NL West by 4.5 games over 2nd place San Francisco Giants who are the #1 NL Wildcard at the moment 2014 season is winding down with 1 month to go , my team the Cleveland Indians are 4.5 games behind the #2 AL Wildcard spot, still time to get back in it but Im thinking they will come up short once again , the Indians in 2013 were the #1 AL Wildcard & did host the game at Progressive Field in Cleveland but lost to the Tampa Bay Rays . The Indians have who in my opinion is the best manager in the AL , Terry Francona - he is a proven winner & hope the Tribe can keep him long term , they have the best manager & need to get him some better players to work with . as always Go Tribe !!
