Friday MattCast : AM Light flurries, then gradual clearing. - TopicsExpress

Friday MattCast : AM Light flurries, then gradual clearing. Highs: Upper 30s, NW winds. Quiet Friday...and then.... The storm. Its looking like a sloppy Saturday, even though Im not expecting this to be a major snow. At this point, as the model runs come in today, expect a near miss from the storm track, which will likely result in a few inches of wet snow/rain. MATTCAST EARLY CALL: Most snow in the midsection of the state, 3-6 looks good...slightly less to the NW Hills, and in New London County, more rain may cut down numbers. This is all tied to the storm track - a pull to the East in track will push snow amounts down, and a push to the NW (closer to coast) will bring more rain inland. Storm begins Saturday mid-morning and goes through the day. Look for advisories to be posted today by the National Weather Service, and well have the latest as more computer model runs come in , tonight at 4, 5, 10 and 11pm.
