Friday October 4th and we are no closer to passing a budget and getting the Government back in operations. Who knows the way our Government has been working, or not working, in recent years, maybe this is a good thing. It will allow the dip-shits who voted these incompetent, corrupt Government hacks into office to get a little taste of what they have done. And hang on to your hats sports fan our National Debt ceiling is going to be reached around the middle of this October. Then what are the space cadets who are running our country going to do? I have to admit, so far, this Government shutdown has not had much of an effect on my life. My wife and I are senior citizens and our needs are simple. However, there are folks out there that are being affected in a big way and if this goes on for much longer we are all going to be in the hurt locker, to coin an old sailor term. Everybody is going to have to get into the act to get this situation straightened out. How and the hell did we let this happen? I’ll tell you how. We have elected people to high government office who could not pour piss out of a boot if the instructions were printed on the heel. Until we get them out of office we are going to get what we deserve. Think about that if you are one of the 60 percent of people who did not bother to vote. You stayed home and let the non-producers vote their imagined Savior into office. He promised them a free ride and they went for it. Well this guy we have in the Whitehouse is a silver tongued charlatan. He fooled the liberal left wingers, including most of the Hollywood crowd and even some fairly intelligent academic folks. I think many now recognize the error of their ways, but now it may be too late. And of course there are still some people out there who are in denial about our current President. Well, live and learn. America is no longer even close to the Great Nation I grew up in the forties and fifties. It is a mere shadow of the Country it once was. I feel sorry for those of you who did not know the USA in her heyday. If you had you would be appalled, just as I am, with what is going on today. I would make you a list of what has been lost, but I don’t have the time left in my life that it would take. So, you will just have to take my word for it. There have been much better times in America. :-(
