Friday evening. Office is empty and Im working late (been one of those weeks). Most evenings, the same cleaner comes in to empty the rubbish and I usually try and use a few words of Spanish to say hello. Tonight I decided to say it was a long week. And she said her Mondays seem very long. I asked what about Fridays? We laughed when she said, no, because thats pay day. Then I said, you must use it for wine after work. She turned red, kinda looked at me and said no. Then I said, Cerveza? and then she said No, gracias and hurried off. You know its been a rough week when you accidentally hit on the 50+ year old Hispanic office cleaner at 6:20 on a Friday evening and get rejected. #thisimylife #fml
