Friday last week Conny & I had another fun, "just us ride". Wow what a ride that was. Up Forest Hill & up the 3 short steep canter hills to the left of the boom gate to be confronted by a huge impassable tree suspended across the track. Up the bank to go round only to find a smaller tree along the edge of the bank. Off we get, get the horses over the tree & onto the ledge of the bank & ask them to jump down onto the track. Neither hesitated!!! On we get & up the 3rd short steep bit at a gallop, & then, left turn & up an even longer steep bit we usually come down from the ridge track on, & onto the more experienced loop, but in reverse & back down the down part from the 3 short steep canters & back to the yard. It took about 2hrs & was a great varied ride. Shaula was exhausted & so was I, but we were all extreemly happy & pleased with ourselves.
