Friday’s Venues: November 15, 2013 Sista Otis returns to Jamesport Brewing Company. She just got off tour and is in Michigan for a week or so and is making her way back to Ludington! Dont miss this show!! She will be starting at 8:00 pm and she will be having some special guests traveling with her ! Multifaceted Sista Otis is a Singer/Emcee/Songwriter/Performer Extraordinaire whose sound was born in Detroit and raised in New Orleans. As she tells the story, In a lil Jazz club in the French Quarter, lady Blues was feeling the Soul from Motown. So she Hip-Hopped up on Motowns lap to Rock N Roll and got the Funk on. Meanwhile, Folk wondered in off the streets with crazy hair and dark shades an wrote the story down. On that night, Sista Otis was conceived but she just calls it, Rock N Roll Our very own, Shayla OBrien will be playing from 6:00-9:00 pm at PM Steamers. She plays acoustic guitar and has a few original songs. Come take a listen. Talented young lady. Has her song she wrote and sang on Utube..Check it out. At the Elks Club in Ludington, Live Music will be performed by Cheryl Wolfram starting at 9:00 pm. VibE Room at Johnnys of Custer. Big Buck Contest at 11pm for a $50 tab.BIERKAMP with Tangle Eye and IOS DJs. Opening Deer Season, At the Vibe in Custer, Tangle Eye will be starting at 10:00 pm. At the Mitten Bar: A Michigan Ideology, the Jake Allen and Band will be there. Jake Allen is a young but highly experienced artist who hails from the forests of Northern Michigan. His music, complex yet accessible. Its something he calls ethereal rock.Comparing Allen to other bands is rather hard to do. The music is simply one of a kind. The Whiskey Rebels were formed with a purpose. A purpose to bring people together to have a good time and believe that we as people need to stand up together for our beliefs and our freedoms. The Whiskey Rebels perform all over the state, so dont miss their hometown show for opening weekend of BIERKAMP! Wild card will be at The Sandbar starting at 9:30. Wildcard plays classic rock. They get the dance room a hopping! Smoke and Mirrors musical selections range from old country to new country and classic rock to alternative rock. One trait this band takes pride in is the wide variety of music they play. They like to mix up their set list and youll seldom hear them play the same songs in the same order. They are always looking to add new songs to their playlist, so feel welcome to give them suggestions. Andrew Thomas and Kate Krieger will be starting at 6:00 pm at James Port Brewing Company. Andy plays acoustic guitar and sings a variety of songs. Kate Krieger will be joining him in some songs also.
