Friendly Update By Bud Brewski The friendly in Tullamore with the Tigers is looking great. A couple of the Pussy Cats are going as well as a few from SWAT. We are meeting at 12 at the GAA and are scheduled to stay until 4, but die hard players may go for more. Cupcake is working hard to line up some pub grub and there is rumour of a big party at rookie Tiger, Niamhs house, after the game, byob. Party animal Lutz is making the trip, so anything goes. Also, of note, the T-Bolts approached SL about moving Bank Holiday games to Thursday nights and this seems to be getting consideration. There are 4 Bank Holidays on this years softball season and even if we can get a couple moved to Thursdays, it means more softball. More will be known after the Captains meeting on April 3rd. So, hey, pay attention, Bud isnt making this up. Heres the SL website update: OPENING DAY! Softball Leinster Division II starts Monday, 21 April, at 7pm at various locations across Dublin. Because of the Easter holiday, games may be played on Thursday, 24 April, or according to specific arrangements made by each team. This means the season could be starting on Thursday night, April 24th. George is working hard on the opening night stunt, and Dr. K has already sourced the pyrotechnics. Brilliant Promotions is expected to announce its sponsorship for the upcoming season, along with mascot try outs.
