Friends, Im seeking your wisdom and insight on this question... The dawn of the Information Age has truly arrived in South Africa, yet our economy continues to struggle with issues of the Industrial Age... how do we shift our country (population, people, politicians) into 21st century thinking...to bridge the gap (of knowledge, performance, productivity and transformation)? In my mind our government should already have a (big-ish) team working on areas related to the the next 20 years of our democracy, the next 20 years of our economy, the next 20 years of the NDP. Its interesting to consider that in 20 years, SA will probably not be experiencing an industrial labour issues (like mining or labour intensive strikes)...in 20 years, Marikana wouldve been long forgotten, in 20 years SA will probably not have an influential print media industry (...in 10 years according to Koos Bekker, ex-CEO of Naspers). Surely logic follows that we need to prepare the country for this inevitable future!
