Friends, NYU Sterns entire freshman class takes part in a Cohort Leadership Program that I help to facilitate. This year, were partnering with DoSomething.Org and leveraging our intellectual capital to make a social change -- to grow the bone marrow registry so that people like Sheldon Mba can get the life-saving transplants they need to fight blood cancers. Here are some links to DoSomething.Orgs work and Sheldons Story: Sheldon: usatoday/story/news/health/2013/11/03/sheldon-mba-bone-marrow/3397507/ DoSomething.Org Give a Spit: dosomething.org/user/login?destination=node/731007 The class that I teach, the Murray Hill Cohort, will be holding their drive this Friday from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at NYUs Rubin Hall. If you work in the area, or even if you dont, come down to join the registry and to help save Sheldons life. Every 4 minutes someone is diagnosed with blood cancer, yet only 2% of Americans are on the bone marrow registry.
