Friends, Romans and countrymen, After FINALLY getting to the person best equipped to help us, I have secured 6 tee times to play THE DUMP, whose correct name is Park Ridge. Park Ridge is one of the Palm Beach County courses along with Osprey Point, Southwinds, Okeeheelee and John Prince. This was a landfill until after hurricane Wilma, when Palm Beach County developed it into a championship golf course. The course has a bunch of unusual elevations, sloped fairways, and drop down greens that make it probably the most unusual golf experience you will ever play. My advice to those playing is to leave your Pro V1s at home and only use your shag bag! Tee times satrt at 9:15 and will run every 9 minutes, so that will mean 9:22, 9:29, 9:35, 9:44 and 9:53. The rate is $54.25 + tax but if you have the PBC Frequent Play Card, the discount is $48.83. ALSO, for those with the FPC, if you havent yet used the guest passes you were allotted, you can use them for others playing (like me, since I dont have it!). But no matter what you pay, I can assure you you will enjoy this course. Directions to the course: FROM I-95: Exit Lantana Rd. (exit #61), travel west for approximately 7.6 miles, turn right into Park Ridge Golf Course (just past Lyons Road). FROM THE FLORIDA TURNPIKE: Exit at Lake Worth, turn right (west), travel one-mile, turn left at Lyons Rd., travel 1.8 miles, turn right on Lantana Rd., Park Ridge Golf Course is on the right. If you are interested in playing, please send an email to jquebby@gmail.
