Wake Up! William Sparks my Head Warrior :) says, Duh! The middle class is not spending because they are being squeezed by bad and more expensive healthcare policies, higher college tuition, new over-usage fees for Internet data, grocery prices, gasoline taxes, etc. Just wait until programs like paid pregnancy leave, carbon tax, the $15 an hour living wage, and continued higher costs for healthcare policies kick in. The middle class will spend even less and more businesses will continue to go broke. All these programs sound good until customers start paying for them through much higher prices. There is a lot I dont know but I do completely comprehend how these feel good programs and higher costs affect a business profit & loss statement (P&L). I also completely understand that no restaurant, grocery, theatre, printer, or other business will absorb these costs. All the increased costs will be passed on to their customers. This is not a scare tactic. It is simply Economics 101 friends. Wow, I now need a shower.
