Friends-The CBI has raided the residences of the BJD Mayurbhanj - TopicsExpress

Friends-The CBI has raided the residences of the BJD Mayurbhanj Lok Sava M.P. Ram Chandra Hansda, ex-BJD Keonjhar M.L.A. Subarna Naik and ex-BJP Khariar M.L.A Hitesh Bagarti in connection with Chit Fund scam. When a PIL was filed in the Supreme Court demanding for CBI enquiry of such scam, at that time the State Government of Sri Naveen Pattanayak through its advocate opposed for such an enquiry. State Government’s argument was; since the Vigilance Department is conducting an enquiry, there is no necessity of calling for CBI. But when within a few days of starting the enquiry, the CBI has raided the houses of the Kingpins; the Vigilance Department did not do any such thing during the last one year. Rather, when the ‘Sea shore’ M.D. Sri Pradip Das was arrested from Mumbai and brought back to Odisha, in the Bhubaneswar Airport his mouth was put shut by a civil dressed Intelligence police man. Why? Is it not that, the apprehension of his revealing the names of some top guns? After the initial findings of the CBI, it seems the Vigilance Department’s core purpose was to protect the political culprits. Do you believe that without the political protection such huge scams could take place? And do you believe that only opposition party people can facilitate such huge crime? Please make sure, without the direct connivance of the party in power, crimes of such dimension cannot take place. The Odisha Government has formed a Corpus Fund of Rs.300 crores for refunding them to customers who have lost money. But whose money is it? Is it not ours? Why should our money be paid to the depositors whose money have been swindled by the Chit Fund owners? On behalf of Utkal Bharat, last year we had filed a PIL in the High Court against the formation of the Corpus Fund. Now, we shall push the case. If the Government wants to pay back, let them do it by auctioning the property of the Chit Fund looters.
